End Point Royalties Symposium: Past, Present and Future for Plant Breeders

The Australian Centre for Intellectual Property in Agriculture (ACIPA) held a free symposium 29 May 2014 to explore the scope and operation of end point royalties in Australian agriculture.

The purpose of the symposium was to bring together experts and practitioners to share their experiences of end point royalties with the prospect of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their adoption and use. A number of sectors within Australian agriculture have taken up end point royalties and this will be an opportunity to compare and contrast approaches.

The audience was composed of plant breeders, industry associations, research and development corporations, government departments, seed distributors and their representatives, agricultural sector advisers/consultants, intellectual property lawyers, and academics.
